As a rule, the device displays “- – – -” after switching on. However, in some cases a numerical value is displayed even without a measurement.

Hold down the “HOLD” button (do not release the button), turn on the meter and press the “NCV” button —-
the meter switches to calibration mode. Now release the "HOLD" button, press "NCV" again, the meter beeps, close
the test leads briefly, press the “HOLD” button to start the calibration.
The meter will beep again when calibration is complete.
